Try a Tri!
A brand new opportunity, exclusive to Northumberland is launching on Saturday 27th February.
The Try a Tri programme is aimed at first timers and for those who fancy a new challenge, to get fit and healthy outside of the gym environment.
The programme will be led by British Triathlon coaches, with sessions catered to suit your individual fitness, goals and lifestyle. The triathlon sessions will cover a mixture of swimming, cycling and running and participants can choose to do all three or just one or two of the activities.
Perhaps you would like to train to take part in a triathlon or come with friends to train together to do a team triathlon. (one swims, one bikes and one runs).
What ever your goals are for 2010 Make triathlon part of it. Anyone can attend –Age 14yrs +

February Half Term Holiday Program
The Sport Development Team will be delivering a wide variety of sports activities across South East Northumberland during the February Holidays. Activities include Football, Dodgeball, Cricket, Basketball, Dance and Sports Roadshows. Ashington Multi Sport Club
The Sports Development team now have a new Multi Sports session running at Ashington Leisure Centre on Wednesday’s.
4:00-5:00pm (7-12 years)
Sessions will be based on what the group request and could include include Football, Basketball, Cricket, Rugby and Dodgeball and will consist a of game/compeition format. People of all abilities are welcome!

Tri Northumberland events 2010
2010 looks to be set for a very exciting time in the region with 3 new Triathlon events augmenting the established races in the calendar, with additional events for children, juniors and youths, making these truely inclusive sporting events for all ages and abilities.

The Sports Development team in partnership with StreetGames now have a new Multi Sports session running at Newbiggin Sports & Community Centre on Tuesday’s.
3.30-4.30pm – 7-10 years
4.30-5.30pm – 11+ years
Sessions will include Football and Dodgeball and will consist a of game/compeition format. People of all abilities are welcome!
